The BUDO OPEN is sanctionned by the Ontario Jiu Jitsu Association. This means that participants in the tournaments must be OJA members.
OJA memberships are good for a calendar year (Jan1st to Dec 31st) and will allow you to register for any OJA sanctionned event (we have several a year all across ontario)
You can register for a BJJ tournament via Smoothcomp. This site will also direct you to register for your OJA membership.
Create your profile with Smoothcomp - Name, Email, Password
Accept the Smoothcomp Terms of Service
After you accept the Terms of Reference, the site will send you a confirmation to your email address to confirm your identify. Once you confirm your identity, you can log into your account and go toyour dashboard.
Click on your name (Circle with Picture) and within the dropdown menu, click settings.
This is where you can add all your personal information.
Go to the JOIN ACADEMY section and search your academy
Add your Birthday and Nationality Information
If you need to add additional family members (2 children etc..) click on your name (Circle with Picture), and within the dropdown menu choose manage profiles.
this will be bring you to the Select Profile screen. Choose ADD PROFILE
Create the new profile and accept the Terms of Reference
Once you accept the Terms of Reference it will bring you to the main dashboard. To toggle in between different profiles, click on your name (Circle with Picture) and choose the profile within the linked profiles
Choose the profile / person you would like to register for the tournament and go to the main dashboard.
On your dashboard, you will see an events tab with EVENTS in the top right hand corner.
Search BUDO OPEN and click on the Budo Open ICON
Click on Register for the Event in the right corner
If you do not have a membership, if will prompt you to pay for an OJA Membership ($28.75 for Kids annually and $33.90 for adults annually)
Fill out the requested information for the OJA Membership, Click that you have read the terms and conditions and hit continue
Hit Checkout (It will take you to a Paypal Page for Credit card information)
Complete the payment information and hit Pay Now
When you return to Smoothcomp, it will say to hit continue and you will be brought back to the Budo Open Page. Hit register for the event
Confirm your Personal Information and Belt Level, then hit save and continue
Confirm your team
Find the category you are registering for and hit ADD
Choose your Age, rank and weight categories and hit register
Accept the Terms of Service / Waiver
Click on Continue to Payment and follow the prompts for payment via Pay pal
